Meningitis is a disease where the brain and the spinal chord membranes are inflamed and swell. Meningitis is typically contracted when a viral infection is present. There are many symptoms of Meningitis and these may include but are not limited to stiff neck, severe and chronic headaches, fever, chills, fatigue, loss of appetite, blotchy and red rashes, sluggishness, stiff back, and more. Depending on the cause of Meningitis , there are vaccines that can be used to either relieve the symptoms or even get rid of the disease in general. Antibiotics, steroids, and penicillin are usually prescribed to patients with this sickness.
